Rampworx Youth Village 2000
We wont be beaten on Price
Rampworx is the largest indoor extreme sports centre in the UK. We provide safe and secure facilities for over 1000 young people per week (aged 8 and over) from the Sefton and Merseyside who get involved in BMX, In Line Skating and Skateboarding. As a charity we are keen to engage young people through extreme sports and the projects that we offer by supporting their social needs and by tackling disadvantage.
We use a variety of sporting and non-sporting projects (video and photography arts, healthy eating, crime and drug and alcohol awareness) to help our young users. We, also provide cheap and accessible coaching schemes for young people aged 8 and over.
We host major national and international events for all 3 disciplines throughout the year. This allows us to improve our profile and attract further revenue costs to help sustain our project.
Our project is comprehensive in the diverse projects that it offers. Not only do we cater for sport, but also for lifestyle and personal development. Culturally, The majority of young people who come to our park are considered to be in a minority by the music that they listen to, the sports they like participate in and the way that they dress. This can prevent them from engaging with other young people, as they feel intimidated. Our current diversionary projects for young people, particularly those at risk include video arts, photography, healthy eating and street dance. Our goal is to break down these barriers and provide access to other youth projects.
