| KHE are the first to bring Kevlar, Folding Bead Tyres to BMX. This introduction is a massive step forward and we expect to see the other companies come out with their own Kevlar versions soon. A normal tyre has a wire bead running around the outer wall of the tyre, but this tyre has a Kevlar Bead instead. The first Improvement is that it is foldable, so they are easier to carry - you can easily carry a spare if you want to, just like an innertube. The second advantage is that the tyre is much lighter, and because the tyre runs on the outside of your wheel, you notice the difference a lot more than if you changed your hub. The third Improvement is that the Kevlar holds it's shape, so when you blow it up, it doesn't balloon like a traditional tyre. The Kevlar isn't the only great thing about this tyre, it is made with a Durable Compound for Longlife & this Park version is Extremely Lightweight. |
